The Luftwaffe M41 Tropical viosr Cap was developed in 1940, and nicknamed the "Hermann Meyer", it was the first tropical service cap of the Luftwaffe
units serving in the Mediterranean, North Africa, Southern Italy and Greece., it was manufactured and issued from later 1941 to 1942, and replaced by the DAK style tropical cap.
The cap is made of light khaki construction with machine embroidered, machine stitched cotton insignia and metal grommet air vents.
The interior of the cap is fully lined in red cotton poplin with black size ink stamp and factory mark.
